The Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ljubljana (FFA UL) is the only HEI for Pharmacy Education in Slovenia and was established in 1961 as the Department at Faculty for Natural Sciences of University of Ljubljana. From that time the Department has been transformed into the today Faculty of Pharmacy (http://www.ffa.uni-lj.si/). The academic staffs involve a number of around 150 employees. The Faculty offers educational programs for pharmacists on the undergraduate and postgraduate levels: integrated (5 years) undergraduate study programs (MSc Pharm) admitting a number of 150 students per year; 3 years Bologna Programs for Cosmetology (180 ECTS, 40 students in the first year ), Laboratory Medicine (30 students in the first year), Bologna Master study programme for Industrial Pharmacy (120 ECTS, 25 students in first year) and Master programme Laboratory Biomedicine (120 ECTS, 30 students in first year).

In the postgraduate level the Faculty is organizing PhD study programme Biomedicine, including fields Pharmacy, Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Biomedicine and Toxicology. The Faculty is involved into organisation of postgraduate courses-specialisations for:
•    Drug formulation
•    Drug analysis
•    Clinical pharmacy
•    Community pharmacy and
•    Pharmacognosy.

Topics for industrial pharmacy are included into basic MSc Pharm curricula, additionally, the Faculty is organising from 2007 independent Master program for Industrial Pharmacy (MSc IndPharm). After these years the new experiences have been appeared and therefore the participation in the proposed project will be of huge importance: for dissemination and for the reaccreditation of the Program that is scheduled in 2 years.

There is no special PhD course for Industrial Pharmacy and the anticipated project activities will support the preparation the postgraduate industrial pharmacy curricula as well as the activities in the improvement of the existing undergraduate curricula.
